RRB JE CBT-2 Exam Date 2026 OUT — July 2 for 2,585 Posts, Admit Card from June 28

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced the RRB JE CBT-2 Exam Date 2026 for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts under CEN 05/2025. The CBT-2 exam is scheduled for July 2, 2026.

Who appears for CBT-2: A total of 39,035 candidates who qualified in RRB JE CBT-1 (held Feb 19, 20, and 25, 2026) are eligible for CBT-2. These candidates are competing for 2,585 vacancies across Junior Engineer, DMS, and CMA posts in Indian Railways.
How to download admit card: Visit your regional RRB website (e.g., rrbcdg.gov.in, rrbbhopal.gov.in, etc.) or rrbapply.gov.in → Login with Registration Number and Date of Birth → Download admit card → Print and carry to exam. Biometric authentication using Aadhaar will be required before entering the exam hall. Pre-authenticate on rrbapply.gov.in for faster entry.
What to carry: Printed admit card, valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence, Voter ID), and a passport-size photograph. Electronic devices, smart watches, and mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
CBT-2 exam pattern: 150 questions, 150 marks, 120 minutes. Questions from Part A (General Awareness — 15 Qs), Part B (Physics & Chemistry — 15 Qs), Part C (Basics of Computers & Applications — 10 Qs), Part D (Basics of Environment & Pollution Control — 10 Qs), and Part E (Technical Abilities — 100 Qs, trade-specific). Negative marking: 1/3 mark per wrong answer.

RRB will conduct Aadhaar-based biometric authentication at exam centres. Pre-authenticate your details at rrbapply.gov.in before the exam date to avoid delays at the centre. Carry your printed admit card — digital copies are not accepted.
