Union Bank of India Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — 1865 Posts Open, Last Date May 19

Union Bank of India has officially launched its Apprentice Recruitment 2026, with 1865 vacancies spread across all states and union territories. The online application window opened on April 29 and closes on May 19, 2026.
This is a one-year apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 — not a permanent bank job. Selected candidates receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 depending on posting location, but no other allowances like PF, ESI, or bonuses apply.
Eligibility requires a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university, completed on or before April 1, 2026. The degree must not be older than 4 years (after April 1, 2022). Age limit is 20-28 years with standard category relaxations.
The selection process includes an online objective test followed by a local language proficiency test, document verification, and medical examination. Application fee is ₹800 for General/OBC and ₹600 for SC/ST and female candidates.
Candidates must also register on the NATS and NAPS apprenticeship portals before applying. The application is fully online through the BFSI SSC portal — no hard copies need to be sent to the bank.
Important reality check: This apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment. Union Bank has no obligation to absorb apprentices after training. However, the banking experience is valuable — many apprentices use this year to prepare for IBPS PO, SBI Clerk, or RRB exams while gaining practical exposure.
The 1865 vacancies are distributed across UR, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories, with 98 posts reserved for PwBD candidates on a horizontal basis. State-wise vacancy breakdowns are available in the official notification.

⚠️Not a Permanent Bank Job
This is a 1-year apprenticeship, not permanent employment. No PF, ESI, or absorption guarantee. Use it as a stepping stone while preparing for IBPS/SBI exams.
