⚠️Why Aadhaar-Bank Linking is Important

All government Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) payments go to your Aadhaar-linked bank account: PM Kisan (₹6,000/year), LPG subsidy, NREGA wages, scholarship amounts, Ladli Behna/state scheme payments, and income tax refunds.

If your Aadhaar is not linked to any bank account, these payments fail or go to an old/wrong account. NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) routes DBT payments to the LAST bank account that was linked with your Aadhaar.

If you have multiple bank accounts, link Aadhaar to the account where you want to receive government payments. Linking Aadhaar to a new bank auto-de-links it from the previous bank for DBT purposes. Only ONE bank account can be your Aadhaar-linked primary account at a time.
