SSC CGL 2026 Notification Expected in April — 15,000+ Vacancies for Graduates

The Staff Selection Commission was scheduled to release the SSC CGL 2026 notification on March 31, 2026, but the release has been delayed. The notification is now expected in the last week of April 2026, with the Tier 1 exam scheduled for May–June 2026.

SSC CGL recruits graduates for Group B and Group C posts across central government departments including Income Tax, Customs, CBI, CBDT, and CBEC. Last year saw 15,118 vacancies filled through this exam, and experts predict a similar or higher number for 2026.

The exam follows a two-tier pattern. Tier 1 is qualifying in nature with 100 MCQs covering General Intelligence, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English, and General Awareness. Tier 2 is the main scoring stage with advanced papers. Application fee is Rs 100 for general category, with fee exemptions for SC/ST and women candidates.
