SSC CGL 2026 Notification OUT — 12,256 Vacancies, Apply at ssc.gov.in by June 22

The Staff Selection Commission has officially released the SSC CGL 2026 notification on May 21, 2026 at ssc.gov.in. This is the biggest SSC recruitment of 2026 — 12,256 vacancies across 40 Group B and C posts in central government ministries and departments.

What's new in SSC CGL 2026: Sectional timing introduced in both Tier 1 and Tier 2. Each section now has a fixed time limit — you cannot move between sections. Also, Aadhaar-based authentication introduced during OTR (One Time Registration). Candidates using Aadhaar may not need photo ID at the exam centre.

Tier 1 exam pattern: 100 MCQs, 200 marks, 60 minutes. Four sections with sectional timing — General Intelligence (15 min), General Awareness (15 min), Quantitative Aptitude (15 min), English Comprehension (15 min). Negative marking: 0.50 per wrong answer. Tier 1 is qualifying — only Tier 2 marks count for merit.
How to apply: Visit ssc.gov.in → One Time Registration (if not done) → Login → Click SSC CGL 2026 → Fill application → Upload live photo (webcam/smartphone — pre-existing photos not allowed) → Pay ₹100 fee → Submit before June 22.
Important: Pre-existing photographs are no longer permitted. You must capture a live photograph using webcam or smartphone during application. Applications with uploaded photos will be rejected.
